Founder Interview

Miracle Flowers

My biggest advice is: don’t just start doing without planning first.

So nice to meet you! First off, what’s your name? Tell our readers a bit about yourself—where you’re from originally and where you live now.

My name is Miracle Flowers, and I’m the founder of The Miracle Agency, a boutique branding, marketing, and business development agency. I’m originally from and currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Professionally, my background is in digital marketing, and I’ve had the opportunity to work both within the corporate/agency world and as an entrepreneur. I really enjoy the intersection of creativity and strategy that helps businesses not only look polished, but also understand their audience, strengthen their positioning, and make smarter marketing decisions.

Outside of work, faith, family, personal growth, and being able to serve others are all very important to me.

Tell us one thing you love about where you live now.

One thing I love about Cincinnati is that it has a really strong sense of community while still giving you access to so many different industries, neighborhoods, businesses, and creative spaces. There’s a growing entrepreneurial community here, and I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many business owners, creatives, and organizations throughout the city.

I also love that Cincinnati still feels approachable. You can build real relationships here and genuinely become part of the communities you’re serving.

Tell us a little more about what your company does and how it started. How does it help your customers?

The Miracle Agency actually began in late 2019 under a different name, Embellished by Miracle. At the time, my work was much more creatively focused and included fashion styling, design, website development, and business development.

As I continued working with entrepreneurs and small businesses, I realized that many of them needed more than design. They needed help understanding their audience, defining their brand, developing a marketing strategy, building systems, and figuring out how all of those pieces connected to actual business growth.

That evolution eventually led me to rebrand the company as The Miracle Agency in 2024.

Today, we help businesses through services such as branding, website development, digital marketing strategy, social media, content creation, email marketing, business development, and consulting. A big part of our work is helping clients take ideas that may feel scattered and turn them into something clear, cohesive, and strategic.

I want clients to walk away with more than something that simply looks good. I want them to better understand their business, their audience, and how their marketing can support their long-term goals.

If someone wants to start a business, what advice would you give them?

My biggest advice is: don’t just start doing without planning first.

It’s very easy to get excited about a business idea, create the logo, open the social media accounts, and immediately start selling. But there is so much that happens before, during, and after delivering a product or service that people often don’t think about until they’re already overwhelmed.

Think through your entire business from beginning to end. Who are you serving? What problem are you solving? How will customers find you? What happens when they inquire? How will they pay? How will you deliver the service? How much time does each customer actually require? What systems will you use? How will you follow up?

You don’t have to know every answer before you start, but having a plan gives you something to build from and makes it much easier to grow without constantly operating in survival mode.

What is one piece of feedback from a happy customer or client that you won't forget?

One of the compliments that has always meant the most to me is when a client tells me that I helped them see their business differently.

Of course I love hearing that someone loves their website, branding, content, or final design, but the feedback that sticks with me is when someone says that working together gave them more clarity, confidence, or direction than they had before.

That means a lot because that’s ultimately what I want The Miracle Agency to do. I don’t want to simply hand someone a deliverable. I want the work to help them make better decisions and move their business forward.

Where do you see your company in the future?

I see The Miracle Agency continuing to evolve into more of an educational marketing and branding platform, while still maintaining the boutique consulting side of the business.

Long-term, I want to focus even more on education, strategy, consulting, branding, and helping entrepreneurs understand marketing for themselves instead of feeling like everything has to be outsourced forever.

I also want the agency to remain intentional. I’m not necessarily interested in becoming a huge agency with hundreds of clients. I’d rather build something sustainable where the work remains high quality, clients receive genuine attention, and the people working with me are able to operate within their strengths.

What is the biggest misconception about your industry?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that marketing is simply posting on social media or making things look pretty.

Design is important, and social media can absolutely be part of a marketing strategy, but marketing is so much bigger than that. It involves understanding consumer behavior, positioning, messaging, customer journeys, analytics, conversion, retention, pricing, competition, and ultimately understanding what causes someone to trust and choose a business.

A beautiful brand with no strategy behind it can still struggle.

I always tell people that something should not only look good, but there should be a reason behind why it looks that way, who it’s meant to connect with, and what action you ultimately want the customer to take.

What has been one of your biggest struggles building your business, and how did you deal with it?

One of my biggest struggles has been learning that I cannot and should not do everything myself.

For a long time, I would take on too much because I knew how to do many different parts of the business. But being capable of doing something doesn’t necessarily mean you should personally be responsible for doing it every time.

I’ve had to learn how to delegate, establish stronger boundaries, create better systems, and work with people whose strengths complement mine.

Building a team and surrounding myself with people who are stronger than me in certain areas has made an enormous difference. It allows me to spend more time doing the things I’m actually best at while also preventing the business from becoming something that constantly leads to burnout.

Who was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?

Growing up, my favorite music artist was Sade. I’ve always loved her voice, but one of the things that stuck with me most was actually hearing her speak after performing live. I remember watching her sing on TV and then hearing her give a thank-you speech afterward. Her speaking voice was so deep and distinct compared to her singing voice that it completely caught me off guard. I remember turning to my mom like, “Is that really her talking voice?” 😂 It’s such a random memory, but I'll never forget it. She is truly gifted!

As far as athletes, I honestly wasn’t heavily into sports growing up outside of running track, so I never really had one specific athlete that I followed closely.

Any shoutouts you want to make?

I definitely want to shout out my family, my husband, my team, and the clients who have trusted The Miracle Agency with their businesses.

Entrepreneurship can look very individual from the outside, but there are always people behind the scenes encouraging you, helping you, giving feedback, praying for you, stepping in when you need support, and reminding you that you don’t have to carry everything alone.

I’m extremely grateful for the people who continue to support both me personally and the vision behind The Miracle Agency.
