Follow your inner vision and be ready to execute your ideas. Properly plan and be sure to have good systems being developed and documented as you go. Most of all, have fun and…

So nice to meet you! First off, what’s your name? Tell our readers a bit about yourself—where you’re from originally and where you live now.
My name is Dianne Allen and I am an executive intuitive advisor for neurodivergent leaders. I was raised in Florida and now split my time between Florida and North Carolina.
Tell us one thing you love about where you live now.
I love nature and being able to enjoy the night sky, especially the moon. I love the water and the power of the Gulf of Mexico and waterfalls so both locations fuel my inner spark.
Tell us a little more about what your company does and how it started. How does it help your customers?
Founded by executive mentor Dianne Allen, MA, in 2013, Visions Applied, LLC, is creating the world's premier ecosystem for gifted and neurodivergent adults to understand themselves, regulate their nervous systems, develop their intuitive intelligence and sustainably contribute their brilliance.
For generations, gifted and neurodivergent adults have been misunderstood through deficit-based models that emphasize pathology rather than potential. Many are highly accomplished on the surface while privately navigating chronic overwhelm, burnout, self-doubt, emotional intensity, sensory sensitivity, and a lifetime of feeling silent grief from being fundamentally misunderstood. Simply learning to cope is not good enough.
Traditional personal development, leadership training, and mental health approaches often fail to address the unique cognitive, emotional, and intuitive architecture of these exceptional individuals.
Millions of gifted and neurodivergent adults spend decades believing something is wrong with them. They succeed professionally while privately battling exhaustion, overwhelm, loneliness, chronic self-doubt, and workplaces that misunderstand how they think. Silent pain, grief and depression soon take over, thus reinforcing the lie that there is something wrong. Traditional models frequently focus on pathology rather than potential.
Under the leadership of founder Dianne Allen, MA, Visions Applied is advancing a new conversation about giftedness, neurodivergence, and human potential, one that replaces misunderstanding with insight, pathology with possibility, and coping with sustainable and meaningful contribution.
The result is that extraordinary human capacity is left underutilized while these people and those around them pay the price in all their life areas from work and school to relationships and personal wellbeing.
This is an economic, healthcare, educational, and leadership issue, not simply a personal problem.
Through innovative frameworks, education, mentoring, research, media, and strategic partnerships, the company is building a global movement where exceptional minds are recognized, understood, and empowered to create meaningful impact in their lives, workplaces, and communities.
If someone wants to start a business, what advice would you give them?
Follow your inner vision and be ready to execute your ideas. Properly plan and be sure to have good systems being developed and documented as you go. Most of all, have fun and enjoy the ride.
What is one piece of feedback from a happy customer or client that you won't forget?
I own a business that is involved in a very big vision for helping people heal. I naturally operate on an intellectual, rational level to the detriment of my business because there are other emotional and spiritual aspects that are critical for the audience I serve. Dianne helps me balance that shift between intellectual, emotional, and spiritual - not only for my business, but for myself.
Where do you see your company in the future?
Through my innovative frameworks, education, mentoring, research, media, books, podcasting, and strategic partnerships, I see the company building a global movement where exceptional minds are recognized, understood, and empowered to create meaningful impact in their lives, workplaces, and communities, expanding and helping people on a global level.
What is the biggest misconception about your industry?
That a one-size-fits-all model of programming works.
What has been one of your biggest struggles building your business, and how did you deal with it?
Knowing that I serve neurodivergent leaders and finding support that understands and can speak to neurodivergent needs.
Who was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?
My top musicians included Jimmy Buffett and then Kenny Loggins/Loggins and Messina. I also enjoyed jazz and classical music by various artists. My favorite athletes were Olympic athletes like Nadia Comaneci and Mark Spitz, Chris Evert and Bjorn Borg in Tennis and Ted Turner and other yacht (sailing) racing champions.
Any shoutouts you want to make?
All my clients, past, present and future, The Someone Gets Me community, Gifted and neurodivergent people whose experiences continue to inform my mission. Jason Stein, George Kao, Heather Burgett and all the other business leaders who have supported and guided me in my business.
